Bacterial urinary tract infection is one of the common health problems during pregnancy which can lead to complications. The misuse antibiotics against has led emergence antibiotic resistance bacteria. aim study was determine prevalence and susceptibility patterns bacteria associated with infections among pregnant women, attending antenatal clinic in Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika-Zaria, Nigeria. A total 110clean catch midstream urine (MSU) samples women were collected analyzed from August November, 2019. subjected bacteriological count using spread plate method. Isolation identification carried out cultural biochemical tests. isolates test Agar disc diffusion results obtained showed that 110 collected, 70 (64%) positive for UTI.
